Alumna Dues
Paying alumna dues is a significant way of giving back to Kappa Kappa Gamma. We ask Kappa alumnae to pay association dues each year to be in “good standing” with the Fraternity. Dues-paying members have the right to vote; hold office; serve as a delegate at Convention; serve as a member of Advisory/House Board, Fraternity standing committee, or Fraternity officer; write letters of recommendation for a potential new member going through Recruitment; and receive invitations to upcoming events, among other benefits.
You may ask, where do my dues go? Good question! A portion of these dues (the per capita fees) are submitted to Kappa Headquarters to support the cost of printing The Key magazine, maintaining our technology platforms like the MyKappa members-only portal, and supporting events throughout the year — like Fleurish, our virtual alumna series. The remaining portion of the dues collected stays within our local alumnae association. This money is used for a variety of things to keep the association thriving, such as hosting events, sending out mailings, providing scholarships, supporting local collegiate chapters, sending a delegate to Convention each biennium, and contributing to the Kappa Foundation.
